This 13,000-square-foot office and warehouse space, situated directly below the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge, is home to one of San Francisco’s premiere construction firms. The project was part of the Port of San Francisco’s pier revitalization program replacing maritime with commercial uses in waterfront spaces that had been vacant for years.
The new interior space is colorful, vibrant, and flooded with light from restored clerestory windows and skylights. The existing wood trusses and ceiling members retain their worn state and contrast with the new walls and cabinetry that are finished in bright colors and natural wood finishes. All interior work is free standing within the 33’-0” high space. The entry lobby soars up to the roof; and the Owners’ offices within the clerestory zone command spectacular views of the bay on all sides. The path of travel from the lobby leads to new office and warehouse spaces. Conference rooms and employee zones have large windows open to the bay.
