Generally speaking, our remodeling work involves older traditional style buildings, but in this case our design effort involved converting an award winning contemporary medical building into office space housing a commercial realty company.  Our challenge was to respect the modernist look of both the exterior and interior element while doing a major renovation.

Stein Architects provided a new design that channeled the design intent of the existing building in a way that altered the medical spaces and minimized physical changes to office and support areas.

All medical equipment and plumbing items were removed and new interior walls compatible with the existing spaces were created.  The vibrant selection of interior colors was extended to the new work, and flooring materials were chosen that were similar to the existing carpeting and tile.  New signage and exterior colors were created using the original architect’s interior color palette.
